PDH Technology has one simple mission: to help businesses make better use of their data, tools, ideas, and technology. Owned and operated by me, Phil D Henning (PDH). I'm the 'Lead Technologist'.
Hi! I'm Phil.
I’ve spent the last 15+ years working across multiple sectors and roles - from business analysis to software development, from digital transformations to hands‑on training.
Over time I realised something important: most organisations don’t struggle because they lack technology What they tend to struggle with is specific aspects of technology.
That’s where we come in.
PDH Technology isn’t a big agency with layers of account managers and rigid processes. It’s me - Phil - working directly with you, understanding your challenges, and helping you build solutions that actually fit the way your business works.
I’ve always believed that the best results come from collaboration and steady, meaningful progress. I place more value in evolution over revolution, relationships over contracts, and curiosity over "it has always been done like that".
Those principles shape everything I do.
My background is heavily influenced by agile thinking, especially Scrum. Not in the buzzwordy, corporate sense - but in the practical, human sense.
I like short feedback loops, honest conversations, and solutions that grow with you rather than being dropped on you fully formed.
I don’t believe in disappearing for six months and returning with something that doesn’t match what you asked for. I’d rather work alongside you, iterating, adjusting, and making sure every step makes sense.
Whether we’re building a piece of software, improving a process, or exploring a new idea, the goal is always the same: make things clearer, simpler, and more effective.
Over the years, I’ve developed a broad toolkit that lets me support businesses in lots of different ways. PDH Technology offers nine core services:
Business Analysis — Understanding problems, defining requirements, mapping processes, and helping teams make better decisions with clarity and confidence.
Digital Migrations — Moving systems, data, or processes from old platforms to new ones.
Software Development — Building practical, maintainable solutions using modern tools and clean, scalable code.
Data Manipulation — Cleaning, transforming, and organising data so it becomes a useful asset rather than a headache.
Skills Development & Training — Helping teams grow their capabilities, whether that’s technical skills, digital literacy, or understanding new tools.
Proof of Concepts — Testing ideas quickly and cheaply to see what’s worth investing in.
Artificial Intelligence (coming soon) — Exploring AI opportunities, building prototypes, and helping businesses understand how AI can support their goals.
Digital Media & Marketing (coming soon) — Helping businesses present themselves clearly online, from content to strategy.
UI & UX — Designing interfaces and experiences that feel intuitive, human, and aligned with how people actually work.
These services might look varied on the surface, but they all connect to the same core idea: helping businesses use technology in a way that actually works for them.
I started PDH Technology because I kept seeing the same pattern: businesses investing in tools they didn’t fully understand (or need), processes that didn’t fit their purpose, or solutions that were far more complicated than they needed to be.
Technology should make life easier, not harder.
Therefore my approach is different, focusing on three key principles:
Evolution over revolution
Big, dramatic changes often fail. Small, thoughtful improvements
succeed.
Relationships over contracts
Trust and communication matter more than paperwork.
Curiosity over historical ways of working
Asking “why?” leads to better outcomes than doing things “because
that’s how we’ve always done it”.
These aren’t slogans. They’re how I actually work.
I’ve always been someone who likes to understand how things work - systems, processes, people, technology.
Over the last 15+ years, I’ve worked in environments ranging from small teams to large organisations, and I’ve learned that the most valuable skill isn’t coding or analysis or design.
It’s the ability to listen, ask the right questions, and translate complexity into something people can understand.
I enjoy building things, improving things, and helping people feel more confident with the tools they use every day.
